New Fire Safety rules affecting all Commercial premises in England and Wales came into force on 1st October 2006. fire certificates were abolished and those previously issued will hold no Legal status.

The Regulatory Reform ( Fire Safety ) Order consolidated all existing Fire safety Regulations and the main changes are that those who have control or are in charge of the premises must carry out a Fire Risk Assessment and act on the findings.

Course Objective:

To ensure each candidate has the knowledge and skills needed to understand the principles of fire safety and enable them to safely and efficiently carry out their role as a Fire Warden within the workplace .

Course Content:

This one day course takes you through the causes of fire, fire detection, escape methods, fire risk assessments, the roles and responsibilities of a Fire Warden and fire Extinguisher use and recognition, as well as the current Legislation.

Course Assessment:

Theoretical assessment of multiple choice questions and on-going assessment by trainer ( courses can be conducted verbally where language barriers or literacy difficulties exist )

Certification and course manuals are included.
